Review of records:
There is a need to ensure health forms are recieved early. Strong efforts will be made to make this happen. Mediacl team will review all volunteer and camper applications. We are working out how they maybe recieved securely through password protected e-mail and/or scanned into the ultracamp system. Thomas Nemeth is exploring how to streamline this system for us. Discussion that he may serve as our medical office manager at camp.

Bus Registration:
During registration when medication is identifyed as needed for that evening it must be kept in original bottles. New instructions are needed.

Supplies needed:
Plenty of zip lock bags and sharpie markers

What works:
Red Dots on charts to identify allergies
Limitation flags
Traveling meds
Different med staff take on certain cabins as "caseloads" for consistency

What to work on:
Increase communication between counselors and medical team. Enhance counselor ability to learn about camper medical needs before camp.
Cabin Counselors will have a "cabin conference" with identified medical team member within first 24 hours of camp to review cabin needs.
Prepare a "script" for counselors when they call parents that will include some brief questions to ensure safety
Increase awareness for activity directors to include special activities for campers with restrictions, let them know what needs we have
Allow for increased communication campwide (cell phones? Walkie-talkies?)
Medical team to present on certain issues at training weekend
CPR Class to be organized

Our medical meetings will have set goals and we will outline what needs to meet.

We founds some good resources for camp training weekend. We are organizing a camp yard sale. This date is to be announced, help is welcomed!

Day of Camp at Stony Brook Hospital is still being developed. We are seeking parents and previous campers who would help Dave and Melissa speak to parents on 4/28/12 from 1 - 3 pm.
