The Camp Adventure Family

Our camp provides children with cancer both on and off treatment, with the opportunity to meet other survivors. It is a time to share ideas, hopes, fears and dreams with other children who can understand their perspective. Daily activities are designed to meet the special needs of campers, while challenging them and fostering independence and self-confidence.

The American Cancer Society's Camp Adventure is staffed over 150 dedicated volunteers who serve our 150 campers each year with love, concern and warmth. If you are looking for the most amazing everyday people who live in New York and the Ti-State area, you will find them on Shelter Island every summer, laughing, at Camp Adventure.
